What is the Jump Start affiliate program?

The Jump Start Affiliate Program allows you to promote Jump Start on your website(s) and earn top commissions for driving solid, quality traffic to our website. We have a great product that's been selling strong since 2011, and we want to pay for your help getting the word out!

How does the Jump Start affiliate program work?

Our affiliate program allows you to make money by referring new customers to our website. You can do this by placing links, banners, product reviews, or any of the other content we provide you with on your website. Each time you refer a new customer to us and that customer makes a purchase, you earn a commission.

How can I become a Jump Start affiliate?

All you need to do is submit the online application here. Once you're approved, you'll receive a welcome email with more instructions. If you already have a customer account, please log in before submitting your affiliate application.

Does it cost money to become a Jump Start affiliate?

It's absolutely free to join our affiliate program! There's no charge to apply and there is no minimum sales requirement.

Can referrals be generated on purchases for clients I'm building websites for?

Yes. While you can build as many sites as you like under one Jump Start license, only you will have access to support and updates. So it's always a good idea for your client to buy their own Jump Start license, as well. Feel free to instruct your client to purchase through your affiliate link.

Can referrals be generated on my own purchases?

No. Referrals cannot be generated on your own purchases (this includes using a different email address). Doing this is a violation of our affiliate terms and conditions.

Is there a monthly sales target?

There is no minimum sales requirement or monthly target sales amount to remain a part of our affiliate program. However, if no visits have been generated in a 6-month period, your account will be considered dormant and suspended. But if this happens, we'd be happy to work with you to get it going again!

How much commission will I earn?

You will earn 25% of every new sale you refer. This includes the Jump Start theme and all future products we sell at our website. This does not include Jump Start license renewals.

Is there a limit to how much I can earn?

Nope. The sky's the limit! The more sales you refer, the more you get paid.

What if I need help with my affiliate account?

How are referrals tracked?

It's probably no surprise that we use both WordPress and Jump Start to power our own sales website. So when it comes to powering our affiliate program, we've decided to use the most popular and widely trusted WordPress plugin, AffiliateWP by Pippin Williamson.

AffiliateWP uses cookies to track affiliates and visits so referrals can be generated. This is the industry-standard in basic affiliate tracking. So feel confidence with a solid affiliate tracking system in place!

How are my sales tracked?

Your affiliate links contain your unique affiliate ID, allowing us to track anyone directed from your website. For example, if your tracking ID were 123, you'll have a basic affiliate link like this:

https://wpjumpstart.com?ref=123

This tracking ID is associate with the stored cookies from your referrals. This is how we're able to associate your referrals with your affiliate account.

How long is a cookie valid for?

30 days. — When a potential customer clicks on your referral link and arrives on our website, a cookie is stored in their browser to track your referral. The cookie is then stored for a generous 30 days to give your referred customers time to decide if they wish to purchase Jump Start, or ask us any pre-sale questions they may have.

How can I track performance?

To access your affiliate dashboard, you can log in here. — From within your affiliate dashboard, you can use the "Referrals" tab to view an itemized list of all referrals generated. Also, you can use the "Graphs" tab to view graphs of your referral performance.

How do I get links and creative materials?

To access your affiliate dashboard, you can log in here. — From within your affiliate dashboard, you can get your basic affiliate link and generate affiliate links to pages within our website from the "Affiliate URLs" tab. And from the "Creatives" tab, you can copy and paste HTML for various banners and links we've provided.

What are campaigns?

Serious digital marketers will appreciate the optional feature of using campaigns. This allows you to associate different campaigns with your affiliate URLs which will be reflected in your personal referral statistics. Simply append &campaign=the-name to the end of your affiliate URLs.

Are there guidelines for promoting the Jump Start brand?

Yes. Aside from the links and banners we supply in your affiliate dashboard, we've also put together general branding guidelines for Jump Start. We ask that you follow our branding guidelines when promoting Jump Start. Please view our Brand Assets page for more information.

Where can I found Jump Start logos and screenshots?

In addition to branding guidelines, you can also find Jump Start logos, the specific colors we use, and all screenshots from our Features page at our Brand Assets page.

When and how do I get paid?

We pay out affiliate commissions in USD via PayPal in the first week of every month. Because we have a 30-day money back guarantee to our customers, we only pay commissions that are older than 30 days.

Is there a minimum payout amount?

Yes. You will need to have accumulated at least $50 in referral commissions to receive a payout. This currently works out to referring three new Jump Start sales.

Are there any other requirements for payment?

We only send payment through PayPal. So you must have a valid PayPal account to receive payments. Make sure to set your PayPal account's email address as the payment email from the "Settings" tab of your affiliate dashboard.

How are customer refunds handled?

We do offer a 30-day money back guarantee to our customers. If a purchase is refunded, a commission won’t be paid out for that referral.

Which websites are eligible for Jump Start affiliates to promote from?

Generally speaking, any website can join the program that we don't deem to be inappropriate.

The following types of websites would be deemed as inappropriate and are not permitted to become an affiliate: adult sites, sites that display adult material or banners, sites that promote violence, hatred or bigotry, sites that promote or engage in illegal activity, including (but not limited to), hacking, cracking, nulled, and warez sites. Affiliate applications for inappropriate websites will be rejected, and we reserve the right to choose whether or not to provide a rejection reason.

Are websites outside of the U.S. eligible for the affiliate program?

Yes. We welcome applications to our affiliate program from most countries.
